Project description

Reproductive failure in females is often associated with poor oocyte quality. To improve this, we will use the bovine model to identify follicular biomarkers (e.g. miRNAs) of oocyte competence that might enhance artificial reproductive technologies outcomes. Moreover, epigenetic and transcriptomic differences will be evaluated after in vitro or in vivo oocyte maturation to understand the mechanisms behind successful oocyte maturation.
