Project description

New chemical strategies are explored for the assembly of complex terpene-like scaffolds, using simple starting materials. Terpenes are common metabolites with interesting biological activitities, sharing conserved structural features related to their evolutionary genesis. The possibility to modularly prepare unnatural derivatives of these natural products, will allow a much faster identification of new biologically potent compounds and biological pathways.
