Project description

The magnetic properties of iron based materials are exploited in various applications as data storage, mechanical construction, electrical motors, electrical energy production, etc. The magnetic properties emerge from the atomistic level of the iron lattice. This research aims at a numerical description of the electromagnetic interactions on the different existing space scales. Special attention will go to the interactions with lattice defects.
