Project description

The Research Group of Comparative Physiology has established a solid innovative research line focused on Comparative Physiology in all its aspects, with emphasis on exercise physiology, metabolic and endocrinological adaptations, neurophysiology and animal welfare across species. With 8 successfully defended PhDs and 5 ongoing PhD projects (2 in the final stages), the group demonstrates a strong academic output. It has a proven track record in securing funding for both industrial and fundamental research. A close collaboration with the University of Adelaide has been established, including official student exchange, MOU and the appointment of Prof. Delesalle as an affiliated Honorary Professor at the Adelaïde University. The research line combines innovative and traditional techniques in a multi-parameter approach, aimed at unraveling physiological mechanisms. This funding supports the continuation of this successful, innovation-driven research with significant valorization potential.
