Project description

The tradtional Chinese pragmatic ethics is dominated by Confucianism. This project is an investigation into the way in which this ethical pragmatism is concretised in the present-day Chinese society. Focus of this research is the so-called "hutuxue", the "study how to pretend not to know", a very popular form of pragmatism in present-day China.
