Project description
Biorefineries are key technologies for the transition to a circular bioeconomy. However, they are also capital-intensive technologies, which hinders the involvement of small-scale actors in the valuecreation process. This research aims to develop financially sustainable biorefinery business models accessible to farmers and rural communities to create value from green biomass while reducing their environmental impacts.
