Project description
This research is focused on the understanding of salt crystallization in lime-based mortars under accelerated weathering conditions, using destructive and non-destructive techniques for multi-scale analysis and monitoring. It provides knowledge in lime-based materials and the validation of protocols for accelerated salt crystallization, followed by experimental research on additives for the mitigation of salt damage in porous building materials.
