Project description
Lianas have been increasing in abundance across the neotropics, they compete strongly with trees for both aboveground and underground resources and threaten the global carbon sink. This study uses temporal terrestrial lidar data collected in a liana removal experiment in Panama to further deepen our understanding of liana impact on the 3D forest structure and functioning.
