Project description

Strigolactons (SLs), a recently discovered class of plant hormones, influence root system architecture. Via three complementary approaches (a) Genome-wide expression changes in the root where MAX2, the putative SL receptor is active (b) EMS mutagenesis of max2 mutants and (c) interaction with known players of root system architecture we aim at unraveling the strigolacton signalization pathway.
