Project description
Any functional knowledge of the 33 globins that are encoded by the C. elegans genome is almost non-existent. We plan perform a functional analysis of globin-12, of which the mutant shows a sterile phenotype, and globin-33 that consists of a linked globin and GPCR domain. For this study, we will apply biochemical, biophysical, physiological and molecular techniques.
