Project description
Given the clinical need along with great valorization potential, the current stepstone project aims to prepare for an innovative spin-off company that will target the breast reconstruction market. Gelinject, constructed from a gelatin-based biomimetic material, will act as a support promoting cell survival as an addition to lipofilling procedures. Due to an increase in cell survival compared to the standard lipofilling technique, the number of operations can be significantly reduced, not only benefiting the patient, but, furthermore, thanks to a reduction in costs, there will be a great benefit for society
