Project description

The ‘Divorce in Flanders’ project examines the risk factors and consequences of divorce and separation on different domains of daily life, like partnership, parenthood, the divorce process, children, social networks, income, housing, wellbeing and health-care use. Data was collected among both married and divorced couples, questioning both spouses, a child, one parent of each spouse and the possible new partners. Moreover, a prospective, comparative sample of newlywed and recently cohabiting couples is obtained to gain further insight in risk and enabling factors with regard to relationships.
