Project description

Chilli and pepper, important spices in Sri Lanka with respect to production and consumption, will be screened for the presence of mycotoxins in ordder to estimate their dietary exposure. For the most relevant toxins, variables in the production chain affecting both mould growth on the spices and the interconnected mycotoxin production will be studied.
