Project description

During systemic inflammation, eg in sepsis patients, a certain degree of neuronal complications can be observed, ranging from very mild to very severe (e.g. coma). In this project, we want to investigate the molecular mechanism of this phenomenon focusing on MMP3 and MMP8, two proteases.
