Project description

The objective is to take the first R&D steps in the development of new plasticizers, flame retardants and radical scavengers (UV stabilizers and/or anti-oxidants) derived from lignin with comparable (or better) application properties and an improved toxicity profile compared to the state- of-the-art petrochemical compounds. In addition, The project aims to develop polymer additives, which can be used in low doses and which can be easily separated from polymers during recycling. After all, recycling polymers is an important part of the circular economy.
