Project description

This research project is a multidisciplinary study of termite hills and deep soil profiles below and besides these constructions in the Lubumbashi region. The selected sites with nests built by the same termite species (Macrotermes falciger) differe from each other by the geological substrate, which allows to study the impact of this factor on the mineralogy, geochemistry, micromorphology, biochemistry (C- and N-cycle).
