Project description
The aim of the project is the design of exact and heuristic methods for personnel and patient scheduling in hospitals. Taking the complexity and size into account, we will rely upon meta-heuristic optimisation procedures, such as simulated annealing and electromagnetism. The research aims at the development of a decision-support system that acts as a simulation tool to optimally balance between quality of care (patient point-of-view) and personnel satisfaction (hospital resources point-of-view).
