Project description

The project aims at developing a cost effective and sustainable management system for two key pests in China: the chive midge Bradysia odoriphaga and the flea beetle Phyllotreta striolata. More in particular, the control potential of entomopathogenic nematodes indigenous to China is investigated. The distribution and biodiversity of these nematodes in China is studied and their control potential is assessed via laboratory and field research.
