fluid-structure interaction
Project description
In this project, the effect of wave impact on the instantaneous peak pressures and global deformations of non-rigid composite structures is investigated. On the one hand, lab-scale slamming experiments will be done in a water basin, combined with measurements with a digital high speed camera and Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) measurements. On the other hand numerical simulations will be performed, taking into account the fluid structure interaction.
