Project description

Within this project, a diverse set of Burkholderia bacteria will be screened for antimicrobial activity (both antibacterial and antifungal) and for the ability to interfere with quorum sensing. The components responsible for the biological activity will be purified and identified in order to obtain a series of potentially novel anti-infective compounds.
