The current project aims at evaluating different spectrophotometric methods for the quantitative analysis of specific fatty acids, which proved important in the prediction and classification models, which were developed within the framework of implemented and ongoing research. Spectrophotometric techniques may show the most potential for this purpose, since they do not require derivatization of fatty acids to fatty acid methyl esters and time consuming GC analysis and chromatograminterpretatie. Spectrophotometric analysis does not continue longer than a few seconds to minutes. As for the sample preparation is usually recommended for a separation of the fat fraction.
