Project description

The CD4 receptor expressed on hematopoietic cells is essential in T cell development and activation and is down-modulated during T cell activation or pathological conditions like HIV-1 infection, but the process is still poorly understood. In this project, genes involved in CD4 down-modulation identified by a genome-wide shRNA screening are validated and evaluated for their functional relevance in hematopoietic cells.
