Ornamental Growers strive for high quality and cost efficiency after and set in recent years following questions: 1. What is the effect of my cultural and how can I closely follow the growth, development and quality of my crop? and 2. How to assess the efficiency of my crop management and where possible reduce? Sense-IT aims to answer through the use of sensor technology. The spacious main target is the entire Flemish horticultural sector (1,700 floriculture companies, 6,488 ha, 8,274 jobs, € M> 530 M € turnover and 151 positive trade balance in 2012). Because of the project focus on energy and climate control consists of the direct target group of some 50 future-oriented companies with high energy and advanced climate control system.
