Project description
This socio-legal research investigates the European and Inter-American Courts of Human Rights’ evidentiary approaches towards scientific evidence in environmental and climate change litigation. It examines the underlying normative and interoceptive considerations shaping Courts’ approaches, pertaining to the Courts’ self-perceived role, function and competence to assess scientific evidence within the context of a broader judicial, scientific, normative and ultimately political setting.
