gelatin solid-state crosslinkable electrospinning spraydrying

Project description

The proposal addresses bottlenecks associated with crosslinking of gelatin derivatives after
processing through electrospinning and spraydrying. Indeed, the state-of-the-art does not permit
crosslinking in solid state. Hydrogel precursors will therefore be designed with flexible, urethanebased
spacers separating the backbone from the crosslinkable moieties, which will result in a
paradigm shift towards the applicability of electrospun/spraydried gelatin in the biomedical field.
