Project description
 

Colorectal cancer is one of the most prevalent cancers in Western society, and is characterized by strong host-microbiota interactions. We recently developed a unique microbiota-dependent mouse model for invasive colorectal cancer. These mice are protected in germfree conditions and now present an excellent preclinical platform to study the influence of multiple microbiota components to the development of colorectal cancer.
