Project description

Transgender and gender diverse (TGD) people face various challenges due amongst others to minority stress. The doctoral research ‘Return to work (RTW) of TGD people’ shows that care and RTW during socio-medical transition and after gender confirming interventions can be difficult. The (occupational) physician is a support actor of RTW but has insufficient knowledge of transgender healthcare. At present, a RTW tool for the (occupational) physician is developped, with some financial suport of the RIZIV. For valorisation purposes, we wish to increase the  awareness of gender dynamics within well-being at work and stimulate the use of the tool through 1. A jointed launching by different channels ; 2. A knowledge clip and interactive webinar aimed at health professionals; 3 A RTW information sheet for TGD people spread through an information session with the Centre for Sexuality and Gender. These activities should promote transdisciplinary collaboration for well-being and reintegration.
