Project description

This research will result in better understanding the microstructure and the connectivity of the pores of cement-based materials, and the role of the ITZ. Changing the composition of the cement and cement replacements opens the way to design new and improved materials with predefined properties. This potential may stimulate the use of active and inert fillers, through which an environment-friendly, less energy-consuming building material is obtained.
