Project description

Smart diapers that can measure urine loss and in some cases analyze it are currently on the rise. Initial IP has been built up within UGent with which a company in this sector can have a valuable competitive advantage.

The spin-off will focus on two application fields: (1) the standard smart diaper, for the elderly care market and (2) the diagnostic smart diaper, to be able to make a (more) accurate diagnosis from any trusted (home) situation or a hospital setting. Within the proposed project we want to achieve two proof of concepts that are needed to be able to approach both the diagnostic market and the care market for the elderly.
