Project description

This PhD research will analyse how the Lisbon Treaty influences the criteria that are used for the horizontal (among EU institutions and policies) and vertical (between the EU and the Member States) division of competences regarding development and security policies. The research will assess how this competence delimination affects EU external action in Sub-Saharan Africa.
