Project description

In Flemish secondary education, one in three starting teachers quits within five years. This indicates a profound dissatisfaction with teaching, often associated with increasing numbers of difficult-to-teach-students. Present research examines whether and how attrition-inducing attitudes associate with schools‘ student composition, considering students‘ culture. Uniquely, the research does not deal with teachers‘ perceptions of students, as these might be biased.
