Plant-associated animal communities are characterised by a high degree of and variability in host specialization. The extent of this plasticity will evolve due to selection pressures relates to the costs of plasticity, the scale of the landscape and the level of dispersal. By applying stochastic modeling approaches, the evolution of phenotypic plasticity duri
