Lymphatic system anatomical validation computed tomography magnetic resonance imaging radiation therapy breast cancer prone crawl position intensity modulated radiotherapy planning delineation guidelines medical imaging post-processing
By using CT and MRI imaging of Thiel embalmed human bodies we will create a new delineation guideline for lymph node areas in the novel prone crawl position that is used for breast cancer radiation therapy. Anatomical dissection following scannings will ensure additional validation. The new guidelines will enable more accurate radiation therapy planning and reduce radiation-induced side effects.
