Project description

Complementary and alternative veterinary medicine (CAVM) is increasingly popular amongst pet owners. Most owners do not discuss CAVM use with their veterinarian, which could have serious implications for animal wellbeing. This project will quantify the prevalence of CAVM use amongst pet owners in Flanders, identify factors hampering veterinarian-client communication about CAVM and provide evidence on best practices for CAVM discussions.
