Double flow-sorting followed by transcript profiling will result into the computational identification of potential novel regulators of the endoreduplication process during root hair development. Selected genes will be evaluated for their effect on the DNA ploidy level and growth. Effects on root hair lenght will be correlated with plant growth performance.
