Project description

The project involves the detection, prevention and treatment of precancerous lesions and cervical cancer in Congo by 1/ the organization of a network of hospitals in Kinshasa where screening and treatment will be developed through training a team of Gynecologists and cytopathologues cytotechnicians 2/ a study of the cost-benefit of various screening techniques and reliability in the context of Congo 3/ determining the genotype profile and oncogenic human papillomavirus (Human Papillomavirus , HPV) in Kinshasa environment 4/ determination of various co-factors that influence the pathogenicity of HPV 5/ development of prevention and vaccination strategy
