Project description

The aim of this project is to identify receptor genes encoding glycoproteins/sugars that bind F4 fimbriae and to develop a diagnostic DNA test based on that can be used to select F4 receptor negative pigs. The receptor genes will be localized by linkage disequilibrium mapping and binding tests with F4 fimbriae will be performed to identify additional receptor proteins
