Project description

Part of the penetrating chlorides in concrete is bound to the cementmatrix. The other part, the free chlorides, could damage the reinforcement. Because the chloride penetration is a slow process, an electrical field is widely used in test methods to accelerate the penetration. Aim of the project is to study the influence of the electrical field on the binding process.
