Hyperscanning is a highly relevant and timely technique in cognitive neuroscience that involves the simultaneous recording of brain activity from multiple participants. It is used across various research domains, including—though not limited to—cooperation, language and conversation, learning, social behavior, group conflict, and clinical applications. Currently, no such infrastructure exists at Ghent University, despite the fact that several research groups across different departments would greatly benefit from it. This project therefore aims to establish an EEG-based hyperscanning lab at Ghent University, enabling multiple researchers to launch innovative projects using this setup. We have already received approval from the faculty to create the lab, and we have defined a pricing structure for its use as well as a training plan for new researchers who wish to access the facility.
