Project description

The project embraces a number of technical aspects that need to be explored to proceed to the practical development of a range of connectors. The ultimate goal is located in a connector for single-mode fiber having an attenuation of the optical signal with less than 0.15dB. Tyco Electronics wants to supplement this interconnection technology with an improved measurement of the network by means of a Bragg reflection based technology, so that the number of operations can be further reduced and made more efficient by improving localization of the problem
