Project description
This project explores an innovative biophotonic approach to manipulate the inner limiting membrane (ILM), a barrier which greatly
hinders the retinal entry of donor retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) following intravitreal injection. By controlled perforation of the ILM, we aim to enhance the
migration of RGCs into the retina while maintaining ILM’s cues necessary for their subsequent integration and development.
