Project description
 

In current proposal, I intend to develop an Embedded Multiscale Modelling framework which enables seamless and efficient simulation of thin film lubrication, ranging from nanometre to millimetre scale. This requires a smart, automated coupling of the CFD solver for the macroscopic flow to the MD solver for the description of local lubricant properties, near-wall effects, molecular layering, mechanochemistry.
