Endoreduplicating cells duplicate their genome without mitosis. Despite its widespread character and apparent importance, there is a lack of knowledge on the physiological control of the endocycly. By focusing on the root, we aim to analyze in detail how different hormones affect the endoreduplication cycle in a tissue-dependent manner.
