Project description

The overall goal of this project is to analyze whether cell death, airway and skin inflammation are regulated by the modulation of peroxisomal function. The role of peroxisomes in airway inflammation and in skin will be analyzed in

mice lacking peroxisomal b-oxidation (MFP2-/- mice) and using different conditional knocouts of Pex5 and MFP2. The results of the study will be validated using clinical samples.
