Project description

Phosphor materials are abundantly used for illumination (in LEDs and fluorescent lamps). These materials are synthesized starting from synthetic precursors at very high temperatures and are, therfore, not very energy-efficient. This project aims at the development of phosphors at low tempratures, starting from widely available natural materials such as clays.
