Fossils represent a direct window into the past history of organisms but many hard-to-interpret fossils are overlooked. This projects aims to identify the best methods to include neglected fossils in molecular dating and testing of biogeographical and evolutionary hypotheses. Each chapter aims to test biogeographical hypotheses at different taxonomic levels: genus Duguetia, tribe Duguetieae and Annonaceae family.
