Project description

In Vietnam helminths are common because their transmission is facilitated by the use of stool as fertilizer, use of wastewater for irrigation, eating of raw vegetables/meat/fish, and poor hygiene. Poor diagnosis hinders assessment of epidemiological patterns and control programmes. We will improve the diagnostic capacity of IMPE Quy Nhon by training, improvement of laboratory facilities, technology transfer and regional collaborations.
