Project description

The goal of this project is to promote the implementation of an innovative production technology, in particular continuous wet granulation, in the pharmaceutical industry. Despite the fact that the producers of continuous granulators have built an extensive technical knowledge to date knowledge process HINTS specific pharmaceutical formulations manufacturing technique o non-existent within the pharmaceutical industry. There the Consigma-system (a continuous granulation system developed by the company Collette), use will be made, with the aim on the one hand to improve (a), process knowledge and to gain more insight in this innovative concept for the production of solid dosage forms, and on the other hand (b ) to facilitate scale-up and transfers within the pharmaceutical manufacturing. For this purpose, on the basis of experiments which evaluate the various aspects of this granulation technique, the determined parameters which influence the quality of granules.
