Project description
Mucosal bacteria in teh gut make close contact with the host and thereby have a large potential to influence health. In the mucosal environment specific laminar flow patterns and low fluid shear stresses are prevailing that lead to altered gene expression in both the microbe as teh host. Adapted in vitro technology now makes it possible to mimic these conditions and investigate the consequences for the microbe host relationship.
