The applicant recently worked, amongst other topics, on shape optimization in structural applications (topological optimization, optimization with structural and thermal boundary conditions, multi-material optimization), concrete printing (simulation of printed concrete structures, flatbed printing, analysis of infill patterns,...), and the use of fibre reinforced polymers in construction applications (serviceability limit state dominated design, vibration analysis, analysis of tiled laminates,..).

In this project, the applicant wishes to continue working on the above mentioned as well as other innovative technologies within the domain of structural and civil engineering.
